Today also marks this site’s birthday! Isla Fisher Web was opened by Maria & Riikka on this day back in 2008, meaning we turn 4 years old today. In our past year online we’ve had the opening of our new Gallery, plus the addition of even more extensive content (and more still being worked on!) … not to mention following the promotion for Rango and the filming of lots of new movies. I’m really excited to continue working on this site going into our 5th year online, and cannot wait to continue following Isla’s career with you through this site!

2011 was a big and busy year for Isla, promoting Rango at the start of the year, then filming two movies – at the same time! – in the middle of the year. But 2012 is going to be bigger, with the release of those two highly anticipated new movies – Bachelorette, and The Great Gatsby. Not to mention the possible filming of Now You See Me, and, judging by how 2011 went, a few more films. Be sure that Isla Fisher Web will be here to cover it all for you … in fact, we’re so excited we just can’t wait for it all!! Thanks for all your support in 2011, I hope we’ve done you and Isla justice with this site. Here’s to more of the same in 2012

I’ve worked really hard to make this section as complete as possible (as with all our content!), so I hope you’ll enjoy this

All that remains to be done in the Isla section now is putting together the Press page which will in turn spawn more information for our Trivia and Quotes pages. I will also update the Biography soon too.

This will likely be my last update before Christmas, due to the busy holiday season. However, I will get back to working on the content, as well as some Gallery screencapture updates, asap after Xmas Day itself (if not sooner, depending on time!). First off, we obviously have a new layout, which is an incredibly pretty creation made for us by former owner Mycah. It’s simple but oh-so-pretty, and I hope you love it as much as I do!

What’s new in the Gallery, you ask? We now have over 22,000 photos which is about 6,000 more than previously. Numerous public appearance photos have been replaced with HQ versions, and there are also new-old photos in there, including some great snaps with Heath Ledger at a Vanity Fair Party, and various Scooby Doo related appearances from 2002 that I hadn’t seen before. In the Television Series category we have some rare treats for you! I’ve added screencaps from Beastmaster (thanks to Maria <3), caps from Paradise Beach clips, and almost 500 photos from Miss Fisher’s popular and memorable role in Home & Away, including a full set of screencaps from the two DVD specials. She looks adorable as Shannon, I’m sure you’ll agree!! We’ll have screencaps from some of her Home & Away episodes soon too. More rarities can be found in the Other Projects > Presenting category, as I’ve come across some promotional photos and stills from Isla’s time presenting Scoop TV. A few new Photoshoots have been added, including some stunning ones from 2009 (including the ones seen in our layouts here and in the Gallery — two of my all-time favourite shoots!), additions to the 2007 Glamour photoshoot, and some fantastic additions from Unknown Years/the 90′s which I hadn’t seen before! And in the TV Appearances category some additional screencaps have been added, including some pics from some late 90′s appearances in the UK and from recent appearances on Chelsea Lately and MTV’s The Seven (see Isla juggle, and in HD none-the-less!).

And what’s still to come? I’m hoping to be able to add blu-ray quality screencaps from The Wedding Crashers and Confessions Of A Shopaholic … if not, then good quality DVD caps will be added. We’ll also have caps from Burke & Hare and exclusive caps from some of Isla’s older UK work, including Hearts & Bones! I’ve recently come across a batch of really old, rare HQ appearance photos so I will get adding them in the next few days. And much more!

I really hope you enjoy browsing the new Gallery, as it is even more packed full of Isla goodies now!!

I will be adding all the most recent (ie from the last 2 years!) videos to the Videos Archive once the Gallery is open and the content is more complete. In the meantime, you can browse back through numerous videos that we’ve posted since then in our News Archives.
