(We’re not on Facebook – it’s too complicated – sorry!)
Big thanks to Nathii for letting us post more of her fanart here on the site – this time a colourful collage of some of Isla’s magazine covers!
The Charities page has been updated with extensive information on Isla’s recent involvement with the Save The Children Breast Milk campaign. Find out more about the cause closest to Isla’s heart!
The Fisher Phrases section on the sidebar has also been updated with some new quotes – you will see a new one each time you refresh/change the page so get browsing the site 😉
I’m very grateful to our Twitter friend Nathii for tweeting us some fantastic collages she made of Isla, and for letting me post them here on the site! She used some of my favourite pics of Isla, and it is of course nice to see so many pics of Isla all together, right?!
Our fanart page doesn’t look so empty now, which is great 😀 If anyone else has made any fanart of any kind featuring Isla, and you’d like to see it displayed here on Isla Fisher Web, then just get in touch – I’d love to hear from you…
With thanks to my beloved friend April we have some previously unseen scans from a couple of 2009 magazines when Isla was promoting Confessions Of A Shopaholic. Women’s Weekly had a short interview with her alongside a promotional photoshoot for Shopaholic, and In Style Australia reprinted the shoot and text from Isla’s earlier spread in the magazine’s UK edition. I always love seeing Isla in magazines from around the world, so loved seeing these spreads! Enjoy for yourself by clicking the previews below.
We have a brand new layout up here at Isla Fisher Web! This dazzling creation was made for us by Flor, and I just love the colours and photos she used. I hope you enjoy our fresh new look here – leave a comment if you have any feedback!
Isla brightens up the May issue of US Fitness magazine, with a brand new interview and photoshoot! The photoshoot is fun and colourful, and I love the honest interview in which Isla talks about her body and what she does to stay in shape. She also shares her exercise playlist with the magazine.
The magazine also features the first still of Isla in The Great Gatsby, as well as a new still from Now You See Me.
Check out the photo coverage in our Gallery, and you can read the interview there, on our Press page, or at FitnessMagazine.com.
Be sure to pick up a copy of this magazine if you can!
“For me, so much about life is acceptance. You can look in the mirror and find a million things wrong with yourself. Or you can look in the mirror and think, I feel good, I have my health, and I’m so blessed. That’s the way I choose to look at it. I don’t need to be perfect. I’m doing just fine.”
Because Isla has had a busy year this year, I thought it would be fun to do a Best of 2012 post – as we finally have some things to pick ‘bests’ of!
It’s been a Fisher fantastic year for fans, with Isla having two films released this year – Bachelorette and Rise Of The Guardians – and promoting them both. She started off her 2012 in Sundance, where raunchy comedy Bachelorette was premiered with co-stars Kirsten Dunst and Lizzy Caplan. The film was one of the most talked about of the festival, and Isla took part in photoshoots and interviews for it. We were treated to another sighting of Isla a few months later, when she turned up to support her husband’s movie The Dictator at its London premiere. She looked fresh in a pale blue Dolce & Gabbana mini dress, showing off her great figure. A few weeks later Isla took a trip to the Cannes Film Festival where her new animated comedy Rise Of The Guardians was screened. Isla and co-stars Chris Pine and Alec Baldwin took part in a Q&A for the film, and Isla also attended the Calvin Klein Women In Film event with good friend Naomi Watts.
