Isla was her funny, gorgeous self sharing stories and David brought out some funny infamous candids of Isla doing cartwheels and so fourth. She also chatted about Confessions of a Shopaholic of course. Can’t wait for Isla’s other upcoming talk show appearances now!

As I’ve reported, tonight was the New York premiere for Confessions of a Shopaholic. Miss Fisher attended the screening wearing a wore a slinky green cocktail beaded dress by Matthew Williamson but retrieved her white Zac Posen coat to walk the press line.

Isla told her press her biggest splurge is Food. “I love food,” she said. “I splurge on nice restaurants.”

“You see it on the screen,” he says. “She’s vivacious, she’s funny, she’s a wonderful dramatic actress. This movie wouldn’t work without the ability she has to pull this character off and show that she is serious. That’s producer Jerry Bruckheimer’s idea. He thinks that the timing for the release of his comedy about a girl hooked on plastic is eerily prescient, considering the current economic turmoil.

And that may make people want to spend money to go see the film, right?

The premiere of her first Hollywood film isn’t the only thing leading lady Isla Fisher has to brag about – she’s apparently doing her bit for the ailing world economy, too.

As a big-spending, designer-label fashion addict in Confessions of a Shopaholic, the former Home and Away gal is set to inspire retail consumption on a grand scale.

So, says heavyweight producer Jerry Bruckheimer, anyway. “The timing for this movie couldn’t be better,” Bruckheimer told the LA Times. “This is about a girl spending too much money who figures out how to stop.”

I’ve been getting a lot of e-mails regarding when the dates of premieres and things are so I’m re-listing all the ones I know. I have no other information about these premieres (like locations etc) if it’s not listed below.
