Isla is on the cover of the March issue of California Style. I have added the super adorable scans to the gallery. Thanks goes out to Kelly for them!
The Confessions of a Shopaholic star talks about life after Wedding Crashers, comedy, nudity, living with Borat, and “dry humping the furniture.”
EW: Your character in Confessions of a Shopaholic, Rebecca Bloomwood, is a plum role. How did you get cast in the film?
Isla Fisher: I was a huge fan of the books and I was sent the script –- I think it was an early draft — but I didn’t really think about it again. The next thing I know, [Shopaholic producer] Jerry Bruckheimer wanted to meet with me. I was six months pregnant [Fisher and her comedian fiancee, Sacha Baron Cohen, have a young daughter] and had already gained about 50 pounds. I could barely walk. I waddled into the meeting and we spoke a little bit about the character. And I pitched a lot of jokes, which ended up being in the movie. Normally, you pitch ideas and people go, ‘Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah,’ and your ideas stay in the movie but somebody else gets the job. But Jerry picked me.

Isla Fisher, 33, is engaged to Sacha Baron Cohen. They have a baby daughter and houses in London and LA. Isla shot to fame in Home And Away before going on to star in films such as Wedding Crashers. Her film, Confessions Of A Shopaholic, is out on February 20
Are you a shopaholic?
No, not at all. I can safely say I am not a fashionista. I see something in the shop and bring it home and it looks terrible. What’s my weakness? I always buy hair bands and then lose them and later find them all around the house in random places.

I have added literally thousands of screencaps from Isla’s many online interviews and press junkets for Shopaholic. Gonna get the videos added shortly, and I’ll also get the talk shows from last week very soon as well, stay tuned!

Now that I’ve seen the movie, I have made screencaptures of all the online clips, trailers, tv spots and featurettes from Confessions of a Shopaholic. If you haven’t seen the movie and wish to avoid spoilers naturally be cautious upon viewing. People who already have might notice there are several missing scenes. I certainly hope these will make the DVD!

Isla attended the UK premiere of Confessions of a Shopaholic on Monday. She wore short black Jasmine Di Milo dress with sequins and a low back. Fisher accessories with a gold clutch by Lara Bohinc and chic Jimmy Choo Seattle strappy sandals. She looked incredibly beautiful as always!
Speaking of the movie. I managed to catch it myself this past weekend and really enjoyed it. It’s a really delightful movie. And of course, what can you not love about Miss Isla? She is so hilarious, a genuinely funny comedienne you root for all the way. Isla’s commitment to the character and her willingness to make a total fool of her self is why you love Rebecca so much. A must see for any Isla fans!
Confessions of a Shopaholic is now playing in North America and opens in the UK on Friday, Feb. 20.

Per usual reviews for Shopaholic (a rom com) are mixed. However in the early reviews flooding in, everyone has nothing but praise for Miss Fisher!
From Peter Travers, Rolling Stone
Look, it’s not all bad. Director P.J. Hogan (My Best Friend’s Wedding) knows his way around this kind of farce. So does Fisher, an Aussie with a nifty American accent and a knack for building a frisky romance with Becky’s dreamy (and rich) Brit editor (Hugh Dancy, playing it all cute and pensive). Better yet, Fisher makes us believe that Becky can write a successful column about frugality while fighting the urge to shop-shop-shop. Hey, who better? In pushing the proposition that a shopaholic may be the best person to lead her fellow junkies to a safe zone in a squeezed economy, the movie may actually touch a chord. Confessions is no more than a painless time-waster. But the beguiling Fisher is well worth the investment.
