Isla’s 4th magazine cover of the year is New York society magazine Gotham! Yes, she graces the cover and pages of this magazine’s May/June issue looking very classic and elegant. The interview inside is conducted by Isla’s Bachelorette co-star and friend Kirsten Dunst, and the twosome talk about Myrtle, Isla’s career, her recent work for Save The Children, and whether she plans to work with Sacha.
The magazine held a party in New York City last night in honour of Isla’s cover, and Isla looked slick, modern and metallic in a gold Pierre Balmain dress, with Casadei heels and a gold Salvatore Ferragamo. Our good friend Rachel has again helped us out with some gorgeous HQ photos, which have now been uploaded into our Gallery.
We also have scans and the photoshoot for you to browse through, and there are a couple of behind the scenes videos from the photoshoot below.
A couple of weeks ago Isla travelled to Las Vegas for Now You See Me press duties at the annual CinemaCon event. CinemaCon is an event for studios to promote their upcoming releases to movie theatres, and Isla and her Now You See Me co-star Morgan Freeman were on hand to introduce the trailer for their film. Isla looked pretty in a Chloe blouse and skirt, and nude Casadei heels. HQ photos are up in our Gallery courtesy of my good friend Rachel!
Actress Isla Fisher says she wasn`t too much into fashion until she played the lead role in 2009 film ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’.
The actress said she was not concerned about what she wore until she played the character of Rebecca Bloomwood, a shopaholic who spends all her income on clothes, reports contactmusic.com.
Talking about her lack of fashion keenness, she said: “You should see me on the school run. I was never really that into fashion until I filmed `Confessions of a Shopaholic`.”
“After working every day with stylist Patricia Field, from `Sex and the City`, I went from wearing what was clean in my laundry basket to high-fashion designers”, she added.
The 37-year-old star has since updated her wardrobe with a selection of designers and high street favourites.
In an interview with Britain`s Hello! Magazine, she said: “I love Zac Posen and I`m a big fan of Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney and Philip Lim. I`m only tiny, so many labels don`t cater for me, but these designers don`t swamp me.
“And high street, I like so many. Topshop and Mango are fantastic for quick buys”, she added.
Vogue Australia have dedicated a number of pages to The Great Gatsby in its current May issue, with a feature showing behind the scenes of the making of the film, and a second feature looking at the cast and their costumes. There is only one photo of Isla as Myrtle, but it’s a great shot, and you can now see it in our Gallery. See the rest of the Gatsby spreads (nothing further of Isla) here.
I’ve also come across another photo from this same promotional photoshoot, and have added that to our Gallery too.
Isla brightens up the May issue of US Fitness magazine, with a brand new interview and photoshoot! The photoshoot is fun and colourful, and I love the honest interview in which Isla talks about her body and what she does to stay in shape. She also shares her exercise playlist with the magazine.
The magazine also features the first still of Isla in The Great Gatsby, as well as a new still from Now You See Me.
Check out the photo coverage in our Gallery, and you can read the interview there, on our Press page, or at FitnessMagazine.com.
Be sure to pick up a copy of this magazine if you can!
“For me, so much about life is acceptance. You can look in the mirror and find a million things wrong with yourself. Or you can look in the mirror and think, I feel good, I have my health, and I’m so blessed. That’s the way I choose to look at it. I don’t need to be perfect. I’m doing just fine.”
