Last year Isla lent her voice to the children’s film Horton Hears A Who!. She played Dr. Mary Lou Larue, the brainiest brain on the staff of Who U. I’ve added one clip of Isla’s scene and posters for the film to the media archive. Isla puts a little accent on her voice and doesn’t sound like her “normal self” so it’s really cute, check it out!

Horton Hears a Who is on DVD today December 9 on Region 1. Isla voices Dr. Mary Lou Larue. There are two versions available, single disc and two disc special edition. I will be renting this at some point to see if Isla appears on any features, but I don’t think the two disc is available so if anyone out there can confirm if there is any Isla on the disc, let me know!

Horton Hears a Who! opens in cinemas internationally today! Isla Fisher voices Dr. Mary Lou Larue. Here’s what she had to say about her character:

“She’s furry and purple. Do I look purple? It means you’re sexually frustrated if you wear purple. I just read it in some book.”

Just a quick heads-up that the Los Angeles premiere of Horton Hears a Who will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Mann’s Village Theatre, 961 Broxton Ave, in Westwood Village. No official word if Isla will be in attendance – but here’s to hoping!
