Hello Isla fans! I have an Isla-tastic update for you today – thanks to my friend Maria I’ve been able to replace our Definitely, Maybe film screencaptures with fantastic HD ones!! These caps are full HD, as in 1920px wide, and are just gorgeous. This is my 2nd favourite Isla film (behind Confessions!), and Isla is so warm and funny in it, so I loved being reminded of that by looking through these caps. Isla and Ryan Reynolds have such great chemistry together, I really hope they work together again in the future. Remember that these caps do contain spoilers … but really, you should’ve seen the film by now, right?!
I hope you enjoy these screencaps as much as I did. If you did, go and pay Maria a visit after you’ve finished browsing them, to thank her for her hard work for us
• Definitely, Maybe (2008) > Film Screencaptures x661

I got my copy of the Definitely, Maybe DVD and created screencaptures of Isla’s role as April. I love both the performance and the character and the movie is one of my favorites that Miss Fisher has done to date. As per usual, I will be adding video clips on my next update. Enjoy these but keep in mind that the caps will feature spoilers if you have not watched the movie yet.

Isla’s Valentine film, Definitely, Maybe, will be released in North America on Region 1 DVD on June 24. From MovieWeb:
You can bring home Ryan Reynolds, Abigail Breslin and a cast of others home on DVD this June. Definitely, Maybe is coming to DVD on June 24. The disc will be priced at $29.98 SRP. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Abigail Breslin, Isla Fisher, Derek Luke, Elizabeth Banks and Rachel Weisz.
When Will Hayes, a 30-something Manhattan dad, decides to tell his 10-year-old daughter, Maya, the story of how he met her mother, she starts to question him about his life before marriage. As Will tells the story of his younger years, he weaves in anecdotes about his three most meaningful relationships, leaving Maya to guess which of the women became her mother. Maya gradually begins to understand the complexity of love as Will realizes that a second look at the past might also give him a second chance at the future.
Special Features
- Commentary with director Adam Brooks and Ryan Reynolds
- Deleted scenes
- Creating a Romance making of featurette
- Changing Times of Definitely, Maybe production design featurette
I apologize for the lack of updates on my behalf. Riikka has been amazing, as usual, and the reason I’ve been away is that my computer has been broken for a couple of weeks – but now everything seems to be working. It’s so exciting with all the recent Confessions of a Shopaholic on the set photos, don’t you agree?
My update for today is three new videos from interviews filmed while Isla was promoting Definitely, Maybe and you have to view the two videos from ‘Max 60 Seconds’ with co-star Ryan Reynolds – they are so cute together!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and that the fans are enjoying Definitely, Maybe, which opened in North America yesterday.
As earlier reported, Isla appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly yesterday. If anyone has a video of this, please send it in. Thank you so much in advance! I am not sure if Isla was on The Today Show on Monday after all. A friend taped it but apparently our girl was nowhere to be seen. So do let us know if you did catch Isla.
We have found one more interview of Isla promoting Definitely, Maybe. The interview was made by Manny the Movie Guy and, as usual, Isla is wonderful and funny. Caps and video have been added for your viewing pleasure.
Check out these two new features on Miss Fisher, from ComingSoon.net and USA Today:
• Isla Fisher on Definitely, Maybe
• ‘Maybe’ star Isla Fisher is a new mom, but definitely don’t ask!
Both are great reads, especially USA Today. Isla talks about Hollywood’s body fascism, her love for Juno and privacy. It seems that every single article pays special emphasis on Isla’s decision not to talk about Olive and sort of portrays her like she was being rude about it. I, for one, definitely respect her decision to not discuss her baby and private life in the press.
“I’m choosy, definitely,” Fisher says. “I’ve made a lot of product in my life that I’m not proud of. I’ve had to work. Now that I’m fortunate enough to get to choose, I’m fussy. Now, I don’t have to make decisions as much from fear. It’s given me freedom.”
Last but not least, check out this stunning image from the USA Today article on your left.
The press archives have been updated with two new Definitely, Maybe related articles:
• Isla Fisher has the last laugh
• Fisher making a name for herself
Speaking of Definitely, Maybe, I had the chance to see it today and it was absolutely charming. Even though I am generally not a big fan of romantic comedies, I really enjoyed this one. It had a lot of heart, delived the laughs and the cast was just wonderful. I may be biased but I especially adored Isla Fisher as April Hoffman. The character was multilayered and Isla made her feel very real. Plus, she had the best lines and her chemistry with Ryan Reynolds was great. This is one of Isla’s best performances – certainly one for all fans to see.
The Daily Telegraph published a very nice and informative article about Isla today. I think it will appear in tomorrow’s edition of the magazine – so Aussies, keep your eyes peeled for Isla! Check out full article here.
She has already sold two comedy scripts to major Hollywood studios, has voiced one of the characters for the forthcoming Dr Seuss movie, Horton Hears A Who!, and is due to start filming Confessions Of A Shopaholic (based on Sophie Kinsella’s bestseller), as the lead character, Rebecca Bloomwood.
“Although I’ll be focusing on colouring in books for the next few weeks!
“I don’t want to put the pressure on myself to have to race back to something.”
So, did Fisher ever dream she’d get this far?
“Oh, I always thought I’d be living in Hollywood, in a seven-bedroom house with a massive swimming pool,” she grins.
“It’s just that when I imagined it, I always thought I’d be the maid.”
