Isla graces the cover of the May 15th issue of UK Stylist magazine! It is yet another gorgeous, brand new photoshoot and accompanying interview. Isla Fisher found it “romantic” to start a family with her husband Sacha Baron Cohen.

The actress has two daughters with her husband Sacha Baron Cohen – Olive, five and Elula, two. Isla has thrived since becoming a mother and believes it has deepened her bond with Sacha. The stars are determined to give their children a normal upbringing wherever possible.

“I think the most romantic thing you can ever do is to make a family with someone,” she said in an interview with British magazine Stylist. “I love being a mom and it’s my favourite topic personally, but professionally I hate talking about it. In England it’s wonderful actually because they pixelate kids’ faces and they’re quite good at respecting the rights of children because they didn’t choose to have famous parents so they deserve to have a normal childhood like we all have. I don’t mention them because I really want them to have safe, normal lives and be treated like individuals away from what we do.”

The 37-year-old actress is widely admired for her youthful looks and she often lands roles playing women in their 20s. Although Isla feels lucky to have been blessed with age-defying genes, she has recalled a time when it led to an embarrassing situation.

“When I first came to Hollywood, I went with Sacha to a very big Hollywood party for Lost In Translation. When we pulled up, everyone you could imagine was in this room, Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman… This lady came straight up to me, introduced herself as Colleen and then turned to me and said, ‘Come with me, I’ve got something to show you.’ I’m thinking oh my god, I’m so excited,” she explained. “So she takes me away from Sacha and opens this door and there’s this giant pink room covered in kids’ posters and there in the middle is a group of 14-year-old girls and she said, ‘Everybody, this is Sacha’s daughter,’ and asked me if I wanted a soft drink. Clearly I should have worn more make-up!”

Isla Fisher has admitted she’s a big fan of the Royal Family – and even once had a correspondence with Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana.

The Aussie star, who is married to British actor Sacha Baron Cohen, says she received a surprise letter from the Princess after sending her some drawings.

‘I was a huge Diana fan,’ says Isla, 37.

‘I drew pictures of her with the Queen and sent them to her when I was six. She actually wrote back thanking me for “my wonderful drawings”.

‘My friend Naomi [Watts] is playing her in a movie, which I can’t wait to see.’

Isla admits she had a bit of an unorthodox upbringing.

‘I wasn’t raised with any discipline at all,’ the mum-of-two tells You Magazine.

‘Mum let us throw massive parties in the house when we were teenagers. Her argument was, “If you’re going to get up to mischief, it’s far better to be doing it under my roof”.

‘She would lock herself away so that she didn’t have to listen to us while we drank Victoria Bitter!’

‘I put on 10lbs… by eating cupcakes!’ Isla Fisher admits she used her ‘natural instincts’ to gain weight for Great Gatsby role

It’s a situation actresses wish for – to be told they need to gain weight for a movie role.

So when Isla Fisher was given free reign to pile on the pounds to play Myrtle in The Great Gatsby, she made sure she did so by chowing down on her most desired sweet treat – cupcakes.

Isla admitted to Easy Living magazine that gaining the 10lbs she needed to for the role was easier than she thought it would be.

She said: ‘I was breastfeeding, so I had a little flesh of my own, I am proud to admit, but I also gained 10lb, just by following my natural instincts.’

Asked what she meant by that, Isla replied: ‘Cupcakes!’

Isla’s 4th magazine cover of the year is New York society magazine Gotham! Yes, she graces the cover and pages of this magazine’s May/June issue looking very classic and elegant. The interview inside is conducted by Isla’s Bachelorette co-star and friend Kirsten Dunst, and the twosome talk about Myrtle, Isla’s career, her recent work for Save The Children, and whether she plans to work with Sacha.

The magazine held a party in New York City last night in honour of Isla’s cover, and Isla looked slick, modern and metallic in a gold Pierre Balmain dress, with Casadei heels and a gold Salvatore Ferragamo. Our good friend Rachel has again helped us out with some gorgeous HQ photos, which have now been uploaded into our Gallery.

Isla Fisher says breastfeeding is nature’s diet

Isla Fisher says breastfeeding is the best thing to do to lose your baby weight.

The ‘Great Gatsby’ star has two daughters, Olive, five, and Elula, two, with her husband Sacha Baron Cohen, and she insists she didn’t need to worry about how she was going to shift her extra pounds because nursing uses up so many calories.

In an interview with the new UK issue of HELLO! magazine, she said: “I believe in the power of breastfeeding. I know some women say it doesn’t help them lose the weight, but I think it burns an extra 250 calories a day.

“I breastfed for two years with both my children and by the end of that period I was back to normal. I swear by it. I’ve also been lucky in that I’ve been able to afford assistance with childcare, so I can go out for a run or a workout.”

Although Isla has been able to get her figure back she admits she relies on some extra help so she always looks great when she hits the red carpet.

The 37-year-old actress swears by the stomach-minimising power of Spanx to make her figure slender in any outfit.

Asked what her best-kept fashion secret is, she enthused: “Spanx! Never leave home without them. You can’t eat very much and they’re restrictive like a girdle, but, hey, you look really slender and slim.”

Isla brightens up the May issue of US Fitness magazine, with a brand new interview and photoshoot! The photoshoot is fun and colourful, and I love the honest interview in which Isla talks about her body and what she does to stay in shape. She also shares her exercise playlist with the magazine.

The magazine also features the first still of Isla in The Great Gatsby, as well as a new still from Now You See Me.

Isla Fisher Makes Raunchy Joke About Giving Birth to Huge Baby at Golden Globes

Even high heels won’t make up for this height difference! Isla Fisher engaged in some girl talk with fellow Hollywood stars Connie Britton, Julianna Margulies and Carla Gugino at the Golden Globes Sunday night, and conversation eventually turned to baby talk.

“My husband is 6’4″,” the petite Bachelorette actress informed the rest of the ladies while in line for the restroom. “It was nine pounds coming out of my vagina.”

Fisher is married to funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen, and the couple have two daughters together — Olive, 5, and Elula, 2.

Margulies, 46, couldn’t help cracking up at the actress’ quip, an onlooker tells Us Weekly.
