Isla’s photoshoot for Allure has been released via the magazine’s official website. The shoot is so gorgeous – an instant favorite!

“If [Shopaholic] is a hit, it was Isla Fisher in the movie, “And if it doesn’t work out, it was Amy Adams.

“I was so disillusioned by the rejection of being an actress in L.A., and Sacha said, ‘What are you doing? You are the funniest woman I know. You have to do comedy,’ It had never crossed my mind—even though, when I flick through photo albums, I am always the one humping the table or wearing a silly mustache.”

“I attribute my ability to tap into my inner idiot to having to be such a gypsy and to adapt to new environments and new people at school, You can make friends quickly if you’re willing to take the piss out of yourself.”

“I wore a bikini everywhere, To a funeral you would wear a bikini. I wore a bikini to a restaurant and had a meal in a bikini once. It was ridiculous.”

Boys and Girls, we are being spoiled! As mentioned in some posts back, Isla is on the cover of Allure, now we have a preview of the amazing cover shot! Allure‘s shoots are always some of my favorites so I can’t wait to see the extra inside pics.

Secondly, the future Mrs. Sacha Baren Cohen is featured in GQ for February as well. And wow, wow, wow! The photo shoot is so sexy and fun! I totally love it. Scans of both mags coming up when they are available for me. You can already read the GQ article in the press section.

While Fisher is clearly one of the funniest redheads in Hollywood, she won’t even entertain the idea that she could ever outwit her famous fiancé. “He’s always funnier than me,” she insists. She’s also not one to share much of their life together. The world has already made too much of her conversion to Judaism for marriage. “The entire story is ridiculous,” she says. “I converted three years ago.” I confess that I’m married to a Jew but haven’t converted. “I’m willing to do a circumcision here,” she says. “Get me a sharp knife and some ice and you won’t even feel it.”

“At the Golden Globes last year, I wore this beautiful midnight blue Hervé Léger dress with a fitted bodice and a huge skirt – it was incredible, like a princess meets a slut,” she says. “But someone stepped on my train and ripped the back. There’s a classic shot where I’m smiling really serenely over my shoulder, but my tush is totally exposed! The Sun called me ‘Isla Flasher’, but what can you do?”

“I think there’s nothing sexier than a handlebar moustache. We have a spare one at home – and I wear it.”

“I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life – it’s pretty hard to wipe the smile from my face.”

Isla is on the cover of the February issue of InStyle UK! It’s a gorgeous new image and I’m so excited to see the rest of the photoshoot! Could this possibly be the beginning of more magazines coming our way for Shopaholic? I certainly hope so! Many thanks to Jess for alerting us.

Horton Hears a Who is on DVD today December 9 on Region 1. Isla voices Dr. Mary Lou Larue. There are two versions available, single disc and two disc special edition. I will be renting this at some point to see if Isla appears on any features, but I don’t think the two disc is available so if anyone out there can confirm if there is any Isla on the disc, let me know!
